Edgar Aguilar, a.k.a. Maxson, is a young producer from Jalisco, Mexico. In 2005 he began his career as a Dj being influenced by IDM, Techno, Minimal and specially by artists such as: Autechre, Matmos, Aphex Twin, Plastikman amomg others. His style as a Dj and producer is directed to the dance floor. Maxson explores obscure textures, complex rhythms to achieve a more synthetic than natural sound. In 2007 he published his first tracks with Difusion Records label. Important local and international artists have recognized his music, which has led him to earn a place in the Alex Under charts (2009). Currently he continues producing and together with Mexican artist Gabriel Rico,he manages Artica, a company that focuses on the promotion of audiovisual art.
